Great advice, Hal. We live in a magical age, where change is the order of the day. And yet, in order to be actively involved, we need to keep our minds and bodies fit.

Want your thinking to be at its peak? Eat well, rest well, and take a walk, use a treadmill, or ride an exercise bike (or regular bike) after awakening in the morning and after a nap.

When my husband was alive, he had short-term memory problems from time to time. We noticed that when he used the exercise bicycle daily, he had much better short term memory.

It was kind of a joke with us. If we were talking, and he couldn't recall something, I'd say, "Time to ride the bike." And sure enough, every time he had a problem was when he hadn't been riding it.

Not a big thing, but I try to make sure to exercise (or have some coffee) before I dig into my work.
